Privacy Policy — BastionHub SSH
BastionHub SSH (“BastionHub”) is a desktop SSH client. This policy explains what information the app handles.
What we collect
Nothing. TPC THE PERFORMANCE COMPANY LLC does not collect, receive, sell or share any personal information through BastionHub. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry and no advertising, and there is no server of ours in the middle: everything stays on your device.
What is stored on your device
BastionHub saves the following only on your computer:
- Saved sessions and tunnels: names, folders, host names or IP addresses, ports, user names, startup commands, and the path to your private key files (not the keys themselves).
- Trusted server fingerprints: the identity of each server you connect to, so the app can warn you if it changes.
- Preferences, such as window and panel sizes.
BastionHub does not record your terminal sessions and never saves your passwords. Private-key passphrases are kept in memory only while the app is open.
Network connections
BastionHub connects only to the servers you tell it to (SSH, SFTP and the tunnels you create), directly from your device. It does not contact TPC THE PERFORMANCE COMPANY LLC or any analytics service, and it does not run commands on your servers on its own beyond what you type, plus a read-only query of the server’s CPU, memory and disk usage for the status bar (Linux hosts).
The Microsoft Store edition is updated through the Microsoft Store; it does not check for updates on its own.
Microsoft
Purchases, licenses and installation are handled by Microsoft under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We receive no personal information about buyers beyond what Microsoft reports to us as the publisher (such as sales totals and country).
Your choices and control
Remove saved data by deleting sessions in the app (Sessions → Clear all) or by uninstalling BastionHub; the Windows Store edition keeps its data inside the app package, which is removed on uninstall.
Children
BastionHub is not directed to children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
